Paper High is proud to offer an exquisite range of embossed leather journals with clasp, which can make a great companion if you need a travel journal, leather diary, inspiration book or notebook. What makes this leather bound journal extra special is the ornate brass clasp and its handmade nature.

Each Fair Trade leather journal contains 125 pages of unlined khadda paper, made from recycled cotton; this paper is acid-free and easy to write or draw on.

The embossing on the cover has been done with small individual handmade tools, making each medium journal special. The pattern might not be the same as on the image, but will be just as delicate and intriguing.

Due to the handmade nature of these products, colour and designs may slightly vary, but loveliness comes as standard.

All of the leather journals are handmade by a small family business in Rajasthan, India. They have been expertly crafted using a mixture of contemporary and traditional methods and the pages have been bound by hand so they are strong and perfect for traveling.

The paper used in these journals is handmade using recycled cotton (also known as khadda, kaddi or khaddi) leftover from the massive garment industry in India. It is acid-free because we only use unbleached cotton and it produces a beautiful paper, easy to write, draw or paint on. We don't recommend using fountain pen with this type of handmade paper.

The leather used is a by-product of the meat industry in India and is tanned using only natural dyes.
